Artwork, Waldemar Strempler

Waldemar Strempler studied directing in the city of Leipzig, Germany, and graphic design in the German capital Berlin. In accordance with artists like Antoni Tàpies, Joseph Beuys, Anselm Kiefer, and Gerhard Richter, Strempler’s concept of art is based upon absolute independency and diversity. His artistic production covers collage, drawing, painting, object art, photography, and digital photomontage.

The artist grasps the unforeseen and imperfect as inherent to art and creation. Finds and all kinds of materials become part of his artwork. Strempler even embraces compositions and color gradients arising by accident. Aging processes and destruction are important for his work, too. Many of his pictures are being continuously revised.
