“The illustrations I want to submit shows a visualisation of characters like they’re shown in arab tales.
These illustrations are part of a semester project about character design. During this project we had to create a concept design for an existing or fictional country and I chose to take a look at the world of oriental tales. Today, lots of arabic and muslim people still believe in the existence of Jinn and in my world, the Jinn are shown as gigantic creatures in animal form. I read various animal tales and did lots of research and gave them the profession which shows their character traits best eg. The frog as the mail man, the camel as the guardian and the ostrich as the Highness.”
